OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapy services are supervised by a licensed Registered Occupational Therapist (OT/R) and are delivered by an on-site licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OT/A).  The OT/R conducts evaluations, writes treatment plans and supervises direct service as required by the student’s individual educational plan (IEP).

Students often work in small groups with an OT/A focused on their individual goals related to fine motor or sensory strategies. The OT/R is also responsible for developing and implementing transition goals focused on the individual student as they prepare to transition from high school to the workplace, apprenticeships, college, or other post-graduate programs.
