Mayday! "Be Kind to Animals" Month
Updated: May 23
Like with all children, animals are special to the Academy students. When a student feels distressed or is just having a bad day, they can always turn to Lou, the Academy's emotional support dog, for a quick "pick-me-up" or a literal "pic with Lou"! In support of Lou, the rescue dog adopted by Jeff Hesselton, Academy History and Transition Skills teacher, our students will be collecting needed items for the local animal rescue league and the No Mutts Left Behind shelter where Lou was adopted from. Please choose an item from the list and send in with your student: training treats, pill pockets, hard chews, toys, puppy pads, poop bags, food puzzles and leashes. Thank you!
