October Happenings!

October has been a busy month at the Academy! Our primary grade students took a field trip to George Hill Apple Orchard where they learned about pesticide free agricultural practices. They explored the orchard and apple varieties, picked apples and finished off the trip with apple cider and apple cider donuts!

This month the High School students learned about the Vietnam War and used the 3D printers in the technology lab to create real-world army dogtags.

Other students were engaged in a Fall-Spruce-Up project overseen by the Occupational Therapy team. These types of activities help them improve their fine motor skills and sensory strategies.
