On Wednesday, December 2, our Summit Academy Parents Group hosted its first family events program online. The theme was “Cooking with Mario.” Six students and their families, along with six members of the administration and faculty of Summit Academy, joined online to make shortbread cookies. Chef Mario Catanzaro led us through the process of making shortbread cookies, including how to make icing for them. Everyone learned something. (Did you know that sugar is considered a liquid in baking?) Everyone’s cookies were delicious. Thanks to Chef Mario for the guidance & instruction. We look forward to the next recipe.
