On January 15th, 2021, students learned how to cook pancakes! Teaching cooking to our students is an opportunity to teach nutrition education such as planning meals and making smarter food choices. Cooking can aid children in acceptance of responsibility. Each student had a task to complete to contribute to the meal preparation and cleanup. The students also gain social skills by working in small teams and communicating in the kitchen. It was a great opportunity for our students and staff! Looking forward to our next cooking extravaganza!
